JA of Georgia is the local affiliate of JA USA, the nations’ oldest and largest economic education organization with over 100 years of experience. The organization has office and program locations in Atlanta, Lawrenceville, Cumming, Dalton, Savannah, and Augusta.

 

Role Description

The JA Simulation Support Specialist role will be a hybrid role responsible for supporting the front desk operations and assisting the lead Simulation Manager in facilitating the management of both our middle school learning programs JA BizTown and JA Finance Park for 6th and 7th grade students.

The JA Support Specialist will commit to at least 2-4 days a week and split their time on site between actively supporting up to 130 students per day in the simulation and actively engaging with our external partners and visitors at the front desk.

The Simulation Support Specialist will be required to utilize public speaking skills that translate effectively during stewarding partners onsite, training presentations for volunteer groups participating in our program, along with facilitation skills that would effectively translate within the program when providing instructional-based tasks and announcements on the microphone AV sound system within our facility.

There will be an onboarding process where the JA Support Specialist will be trained on how to support the JA Discovery Center simulations programs: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. This training will also include training on front desk operations of answering our phones, the required paperwork for scheduling events with external partners and expected to develop a knowledge of our standard operating procedures.

 

Looking For Individuals Who

  • Can commit to 2-4 weekdays (Monday – Friday)

  • Have availability for the entire period: 9:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

  • Have a high degree of reliability

  • Work well in a team environment

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • A clean Criminal Background check
