JA Job Shadow is a half day experience that brings middle and high school students into the workplace to observe the “world of work” first hand, making the critical link between the skills they are learning in school and the importance of this knowledge to career success.

The typical JA Job Shadow involves a class of 30 students. Students participate in “pre-activities” that prepare them to make the most of the event. At the host company, students learn about the different departments within the company and, in some cases, spend one-on-one time with volunteers.
