JA College Pipeline is a collaborative effort between JA of Georgia, business volunteers, and the host college’s staff that provides middle and high school students the opportunity to learn about the benefits of post secondary education and what steps students can take to make a college education an attainable goal. The program is four hours in length and is conducted on the college campus.
Business volunteers and college staff co-facilitate workshops about admission process, financing college, and how to prepare for the world of work. Volunteers bring the lessons to life by discussing the role of education in their own lives. Students tour the campus and depart either with a packet of information about how to prepare for high school and the difference between tech-prep and college-prep diplomas (middle school students) or information about college majors, admissions requirements, financial-aid options, and career choices (high school students).
To provide our programs free of charge, JA of Georgia relies on the generous support of our donors.
JA of Georgia’s volunteers are the critical link between the business and education communities.
