The Gainesville District was founded in 1988. During the 2007-2008 school year, the district will serve 7,900 students in the Gainesville City, Greater Hall, Hall, Habersham, Banks, Lumpkin, Stephens and Barrow County School Districts. The office merged with JA of Georgia in 1997 and is governed by a board of directors comprised of business and community leaders.
