Founded in 1943, the metro Atlanta District is housed in Sandy Springs. During the 2009/2010 school year, the Atlanta District will serve 88,700 students in Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and Henry counties. The office is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of business and community leaders.
