Junior Achievement of Georgia is able to reach its goals each year thanks to the generous support of companies and organizations across the state. JA of Georgia extends a special thanks to our top supporters for their investments in Georgia’s future.

Top Corporate Supporters for 2009:
AT&T supports Junior Achievement on both the local and national levels. AT&T is the presenting sponsor for the JA Job Shadow Program and has dedicated significant funds to ensure students have the opportunity to participate. AT&T hosts multiple JA Job Shadow each year and AT&T volunteers also volunteer in classrooms around metro Atlanta.
 
UPS is fully engaged with JA of Georgia on the financial and volunteer levels. UPS is a major financial sponsor for both the JA Hispanic Outreach Program and the JA Job Shadow Program. UPS has also had a long partnership with Fickett Elementary School in southwest Atlanta. Each year, UPS volunteers teach programs in every classroom at the school, reaching nearly 500 students. The UPS/Fickett Elementary partnership was recognized as the 2005/2006 School/Business Partnership of the Year.
 
Publix Supermarkets has participated in numerous fundraising events in support of JA of Georgia. Publix volunteers work in schools across the state and have helped JA of Georgia reach schools in areas where recruiting volunteers has been a challenge.
 
Chick-fil-A has been helping JA of Georgia inspire and prepare young people to succeed since. Chick-fil-A is a major sponsor of both the JA Job Shadow Program and the JA Hispanic Outreach Program. Each year, they host students from Tri-Cities High School as part of their long-standing relationship, which was selected to be the 2004/2006 Atlanta School/Business Partnership of the Year. In addition, volunteers teach in-class programs in both Clayton County and south Fulton County schools.
 
Turner Broadcasting has partnered with JA since. Turner is a financial supporter of the JA Job Shadow Program and a top level sponsor of the JA Hispanic Outreach Program.
 
In addition to hosting multiple groups of students each year, AirTran Airways is also a major financial sponsor of the JA Job Shadow program. The company also supports JA through the donation of business-class tickets for our event auctions and its support of the Chinese Auction at the JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame.
 
Junior Achievement’s relationship with Newell Rubbermaid is relatively young, but in recent years Newell has grown to become one of JA of Georgia’s biggest supporters. What started as a partnership with Goody Products, a subsidiary of Newell Rubbermaid, spread to include the Newell corporate office, Calphalon and DYMO. Newell Rubbermaid is a major financial supporter of the JA Hispanic Outreach Program and the co-title sponsor of the JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame. Newell volunteers reach students in schools throughout the northern Atlanta perimeter area.
 
PricewaterhouseCoopers volunteers teach classes on all grade levels and the office hosts job shadows each year. PWC is a major supporter of the Hispanic Outreach Program and JA Fellows program, and also participates in numerous JA fundraising events each year.
 
Since 1999, Cisco has supported JA programs at Jackson Elementary School. Each year, nearly 84 volunteers reach 1,700 K-5 students. Cisco’s commitment to Jackson Elementary has earned the relationship recognition as the 2006-2007 School/Business Partnership of the Year from Junior Achievement. In addition, the Scientific Atlanta Foundation donated funds to support JA programs in Gwinnett County.
 
JA in-class programs are a major component of the relationship between Georgia Pacific and M. Agnes Jones Elementary School. Georgia Pacific volunteers teach in every classroom, reaching nearly 250 students a year and allowing M. Agnes Jones students to have JA programs each year, from the time they start as kindergarteners to the time they leave as fifth graders.
 
GE is JA of Georgia’s largest corporate volunteer source. Each year, GE volunteers teach over 100 classes in schools across the metro Atlanta area. GE volunteers work with students of all ages and backgrounds. Additionally, GE Energy is a major sponsor of the JA Hispanic Outreach Program.
 
Coke has been a major supporter of the JA Hispanic Outreach Program, the JA Job Shadow program, and co-title sponsor of the JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame.
