Junior Achievement

AT&T continues its tradition of supporting Junior Achievement of Georgia in a big way by closing out the nonprofit’s fiscal year with an incredibly successful fundraising campaign. This year, AT&T employees raised over $541,000 through the annual JA Bowl-A-Thon and multiple golf tournaments. This year’s Bowl-A-Thon theme was the Boot Scootin’ Bowl-A-Thon, and participants donned their best western gear while raising over $183,000. The golf tournaments were extremely successful as well and results are listed below:

• On Wings of Eagles Golf Tournament at TPC Sugarloaf, Duluth - $229,570
• Broadband Golf Tournament at Bradshaw Farms Golf Club, Woodstock - $61,242
• Northeast District Golf Tournament at Summit Chase Country Club, Snellville - $24,745
• Northwest District Golf Tournament at Bentwater Golf Club, Acworth - $29,280
• Outstate District Golf Tournament at Houndslake Golf Club, Aiken (SC) - $36,724

The campaign gave Junior Achievement of Georgia the boost it needed to meet its financial goals for fiscal year '09.
