Cocktails & Dollars to Support Young Scholars

Honorary Chair - Ralph de la Vega
President and CEO of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets
Junior Achievement of Georgia’s third annual Cocktails & Dollars to Support Young Scholars, held on Thursday, August 27, was an elegant evening at which over 100 JA supporters mingled and networked at Woodfire Grill. Event Chair Ralph de la Vega, President and CEO of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, welcomed the crowd and shared his experiences as a JA in-class volunteer. De la Vega has been a long-time supporter of Junior Achievement on both the local and international level and currently chairs the JA Worldwide® Board of Directors. Participants also heard from Jeff Williams, a graduate from Junior Achievement of Georgia’s elite, business-focused after school program the JA Fellows. Williams, now a freshman at Morehouse College, spoke of the program’s impact on his life. Guests enjoyed food prepared under the direction of Executive Chef Kevin Gillespie, a current contestant on Top Chef, Las Vegas.

The evening marked the official kick off of the Executive Auction, which allows individuals to bid on access to top Atlanta executives for both themselves and a motivated JA high school student. The auction is currently live and bidding will remain open through October 15th at 12pm with all proceeds benefitting JA of Georgia. To view the executive profiles and place a bid, click HERE.

Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsors, AirTran Airways and Turner Sports, our Cocktail Reception Sponsor, Reznick Group, and our Venue Sponsor, Woodfire Grill.
