Mike Dobeck, plant manager of Cargill, Inc., has served as Board Chair of the Gainesville District since 2002. He has volunteered in numerous classes and at all grade levels. His leadership has also resulted in great participation from Cargill through volunteer and financial support.

"Junior Achievement provides me an opportunity to give back to the community in a way that I know will help the next generation of leaders," said Dobeck. "Sharing real-life experiences with kids in the classroom to show them that what they learn in school is used in the 'real world' reinforces the importance of what they are learning. It is fun, challenging, and rewarding to stand in front of a bunch of students who want to know about my world - I am continually impressed by the questions they ask and the perspective they have."

We look forward to Mike’s continued involvement with JA in Gainesville.
