Linda Wimpy has assisted JA of Georgia’s Northwest Georgia District in every way a volunteer can: in-class volunteer hours, coordinating the volunteer efforts as J & J champion, raising funds and serving on the Board of Directors.
In six years, she has taught a total of 30 classes and has even completed classes when other volunteers were unable to finish the required lessons. For the past three years, she has coordinated a JA volunteer thank you/recruitment breakfast at the beginning of each school year, bringing back previous volunteers and adding new people interested in hearing more about JA. She secured her daughter as a champion at Westside Elementary School.
On the fundraising end of the spectrum, she helped in securing a $5,000 title sponsor for our Hall of Fame and has also been instrumental in J&J continuing a $3,000 whole school sponsorship at Park Creek Elementary.
To provide our programs free of charge, JA of Georgia relies on the generous support of our donors.
JA of Georgia’s volunteers are the critical link between the business and education communities.
Teachers are where everything starts; get your students involved in Junior Achievement.
